Nurse Practitioner Programs

Family Psychiatric Mental Health NP Program

Family psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners provide mental health care to patients in a wide range of settings. In this program, you'll learn to assess, diagnose, and manage mental health problems and psychiatric disorders as well as take care of patients across the lifespan.

This program is offered as a distance program to meet the needs of students who live outside of the Rochester area. It features a combination of completely online courses and hybrid courses. This innovative hybrid model provides flexible and supportive online experiences with rich, hands-on practice opportunities guided by our expert faculty. Students only have to visit Rochester about once per semester for a short on-campus residency.

Graduates of this program provide access to vital mental health services in a variety of settings, including inpatient, emergency and community-based mental health clinics. They also practice in primary care clinics, private practices, forensic settings, schools, substance abuse centers, and recovery programs.

Live in the Finger Lakes region? You may be eligible for our 50% FLPPS scholarship.
