$1.2M HRSA Grant Expands Nurse Practitioner Residency Program

A $1.2 million grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), an agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, will help expand the Nurse Practitioner Residency program that is integrated into the University of Rochester/Highland Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program. Funding of $400,000 each year for three years will be used to expand the NP residency program from two residents per year to four residents per year, with a rural medicine component.
