Judith Alderman

Graduated from Pomona College with a degree in Asian Studies. She has worked in China coordinating educational exchange programs and teaching English. She has also tutored elementary school students in the U.S., and she hopes to bring her teaching experience to nursing. Judith has also worked for 10 years as an illustrator and graphic artist at a newspaper, and she has her own side business as an illustrator.

Erika Bellis

Melinda Borshoff

Graduated from the University of Rochester in 1984 with a Master's in Adult Education. In 2000, she earned her Massage Therapy license from the State of New York. Her special interests include the Alternatives for Battered Women shelter, teaching English as a Second Language, and taking ballet classes for performance and competition.

Artemio (Ben) Coria

Graduated from River Plate University, Argentina, with a B.Ed. He has a Master of Divinity from Andrews University and has been a minister for the last 8 years.

Jonathan Davis

Graduated from SUNY Geneseo with a BS in biochemistry and a BA in psychology. He performed research in neuroinflammation during the summers at the URMC Department of Neurobiology & Anatomy. He was also certified as a NYS-EMT. After graduation he lived in Hawaii, working in restaurant management. Jonathan is the President of the SNA, and he intends to pursue a career as a nurse anesthetist.

Michael Fisher

Is an RIT Computer Science graduate, originally from near Cleveland, Ohio. He works on the School's Information Systems team.

Deanne (Dee) Fuller

Graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 1989 as a certified teacher with a BA in French/German. After teaching for four years here in Rochester, she put her career on hold to focus on her family and raise her three boys. Currently, she works at Highland Hospital as a Patient Care Technician. She plans to continue her education to the Master's Degree level after completing the accelerated program.

Caterine Garcia

Graduated from the University of Rochester in May of 2003 with a BA in Psychology and Italian Studies. Since then she has lived in Austin, Texas, and worked to facilitate healthcare for the indigent and immigrant populations. Her nursing goals are to become a family nurse practitioner and continue to work with vulnerable and marginalized people.

Elizabeth Hernon

Grew up in Lansing, MI, and started her college career at Arizona State University, which gave her the opportunity to work with a mobile medical clinic for migrant workers and their families. She graduated from Wells College in 2006 with a BA in Biological and Chemical Sciences.

Kimberly Hurlbutt

Graduated from SUNY Fredonia (Bachelor of Music) and obtained a Master of Music Education degree from Nazareth College. She has been a preschool teacher for the past seven years, teaching in both Rochester and Boston. She is excited to be starting the AMPNN program, working to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.

Kelly Keemer

Graduated from Ithaca College in 2003 with a BS in Community Health Education. She worked at Johns Hopkins School of Public Health at the Center for American Indian Health as a Research Program Coordinator. Her career goals involve working with underserved populations, especially within Native American communities, to address health problems such as diabetes. She has a strong interest in Public Health and her long-term goal is to obtain an MPH.

Karen Klingman

Graduated from the University of South Florida in 1980 with a BSE/MSE in Chemical Engineering, and from the University of Florida in 1985 with a PhD in Chemical Engineering. She worked at Kodak for 21 years, most recently as a Research Scientist in the Inkjet area. Her interest in becoming a nurse practitioner grew during her work as a Hospice Volunteer. She hopes to specialize in cardiovascular care.

Gwendolyn Linn

Has studied theology, finance, various sciences and has lived in England. Her MBA led to a job as an information systems product manager at Xerox. She has cared for hospice patients and plans to become a nurse practitioner. She and her husband sail, skate, and host exchange students from Russia. Gwendolyn speaks and reads Russian.>

Diane O’Shaughnessy

Graduated with highest honors from RIT with an AS in Electrical Engineering (GPA 3.9) and from SUNY Empire State College with a BS in Biology (GPA 4.0). She has most recently worked as an independent consultant managing global human resources automation projects for Eastman Kodak. She currently enjoys volunteering as a research assistant on several studies at the School of Nursing and the medical center. A single mom, she looks forward to a career change to nursing that will allow her more time with her two children, ages 7 and 10. After graduation, she plans to work in an intensive care unit and hopes to further her education to become a nurse anesthetist.

Paula Pate

Has a background in fine arts with a BA from Carleton College and an MFA from RIT. A career in the arts with national awards in two media has been gratifying but there has always been a sense of a missed calling. Volunteer work at Strong Memorial Hospital rekindled her interest in healthcare.

Aida Santiago

Graduated from RIT with a BS in International Business/Marketing, worked as a pharmaceutical representative for Merck, Inc., for seven years. Currently, she is raising her daughter Natalia, and son, David, with her husband, David Rodriguez. Last year, Aida spent 10 days on a mission trip in Ecuador.

Tracee M. Tomlinson

From Atlanta, GA, graduated from Spelman College in 2005 with a BA in Economics. At Spelman, Tracee was a member of SHAPE, Student Health Associates and Peer Educators. During her participation, she realized that the world of allied health needed her. Her long-term nursing goal is to successfully enter and complete a doctoral program and use that, coupled with nursing experience, to educate others interested in nursing.

Alexandra Tsybeskov

Graduated from the University of Rochester in 2006 with a major in Health and Society and a GPA of 3.89. She grew up in Ukraine and Russia. She is currently working in a group home for people with Developmental Disabilities.

Clare Wilder

Graduated from SUNY Fredonia with a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Master of Science. Clare is currently a licensed Speech Language Pathologist, and has worked at St. Mary's Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit. Her goal is to eventually work as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.

Sarah Zannella

Graduated from UCLA in 2005 with a BS in Psychobiology. Through her involvement with the March of Dimes in college, Sarah became interested in neonatal care. As of now, one of her long-term goals is to become a neonatal nurse practitioner. She has since been involved with both medical and educational research.
