NUR 541 - Theory and Research on Health Behavior

Prerequisite:

Graduate level seminar (cognate) for SON PhD students and postdoctoral fellows, as well as other graduate level students with permission of faculty.

Description:

Behavior has a central role in the world’s major health problems. This seminar will focus on discussion and integration of theories that guide the study of health behaviors and interventions. Models of individual, interpersonal, and social health behavior and behavior change will be discussed, and the underlying mechanisms for health disparities will be considered, in the context of faculty and student research interests.
