Rochester Area Chapter, National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners
The local chapter of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners, established in 1997, was founded to support nurse practitioners as they confront healthcare situations.
Practitioners can find professional support among the 90 - 100 active local members and find opportunities for local and national involvement in political and clinical special interest groups. The chapter offers regular meetings to their members and continuing education opportunities on a regular basis.
The chapter is in the process of developing a website that will provide up-to-date information from the local executive board, as well as providing current pediatric healthcare news, membership information, and valuable links to other pediatric websites. Additionally, the website will facilitate communication among its members and the executive board and/or committee chairpersons, and provide notification of chapter meetings and local pediatric continuing education offerings.
