The University of Rochester, School of Nursing achieved global leadership in this fast-growing field by recognizing the entrepreneurial potential of nurses and establishing the Center for Nursing Entrepreneurship. Nurses have a unique, patient-focused approach to healthcare, extensive knowledge, strong organizational skills, and a practical, get-it done style which is just right for business. The Center provides the missing ingredients—education, experience, and support for startup businesses.
Support for the Entrepreneur Nurse movement is quickly spreading to American Schools of Nursing and to other countries, including China, Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom and Australia.
Through the Center for Nursing Entrepreneurship, the School of Nursing, is active in education, research, and clinical practice. It currently operates four entrepreneurial initiatives.
